This is a well-known song that my cousin Rachelle Bollmann decided to revise. Enjoy!
A Few Good Men
1:
What we single girls could use is a willing man of God
Who dares sometimes to use his brain and works without applause
A man who has a decent face and patience to endure
Whose love is tough and gentle a man who is secure
2:
We wouldn't mind an orator who knows just what to say
But then we want authority to reason him away
He really needs humility to guarantee we win
We just need a few good men
Chorus:
Men full of compassion who laugh and seldom cry
Men who have maturity and won't tell little lies
Men who don't like freedom and always say "Yes Ma'am"
We just need a few good men
3:
We don't want a derelict with many debts accrued
We want the ones who have some strength, reject all the uncouth
If these stringent lines you meet, we may want you as kin
We just need a few good men!!
My view of an imperfect but wonderful life

I happen to remember hearing you and Jennifer and ???? I don't remember who else, singing this song. As a married woman I must say I can't relate but it did move me to tears when I heard you ladies sing it from the depths of your souls! I am praying for you to get that good man some day in the near future!
It was Felishia, Jaleah David (at the time now Chirby)Jennifer and myself. I happen to remember kneeling down to dramatically finish a verse and my grass skirt (we were fully dressed underneath) stayed under my shoes!!! I almost fell off the stage! I am praying the same prayer!!! Only God knows!!!
That happened to be the most hilarious moment I can ever remember. Here I am, playing at this Luau Choir Banquet, my daughter is singing a verse, and kneeling down with her hands clasped in prayer. The song was funny, however, I could not imagine why everyone was almost falling off their chairs laughing. I looked over at the girls quartet, and here is Erica, still singing, trying to rise and her grass skirt is not coming with her. Although she had another skirt on, it was so funny. With the microphone clasped in one hand, she gingerly grabbed her skirt, tucked it back at her waist and finished her verse. She kept her composure, singing with her eyes almost closed as she does that when she smiles real big. It really was a night to remember. My advice to all you single girls... and guys... DON'T GET IN A HURRY. God's timing and choice is perfect!
I don't want my daughter marrying some spineless jellyfish that "don't like freedom and always say "Yes Ma'am" ...be careful what you ask for....you might just get it, but rather remember this:
This is a man's world, this is a man's world
But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl
You see, man made the cars to take us over the road
Man made the trains to carry heavy loads
Man made electric light to take us out of the dark
Man made the boat for the water, like Noah made the ark
This is a man's, a man's, a man's world
But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl
Man thinks about little baby girls and baby boys
Man makes then happy 'cause man makes them toys
And after man has made everything, everything he can
You know that man makes money to buy from another man
This is a man's world
But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl
just having fun with my 2 cents
Oh my!!! Well I can't say I want a spineless man... but you took it a little far dad!!! I'm glad to see you mentioned women in there at least to give them SOME of the credit they deserve!!!
WoW!! Ha Ha Ha! Oh how I wish I could have seen this of which you speak! Only you Erica, only you. I must say that I don't want a husband that will ALWAYS say "Yes Ma'am", BUT it would be nice if he did every once in awhile. I particularly like the line that says "A man who has a decent face." It cracks me up. Really. And this other song, ha ha,cracks me up too! Just remember the line "it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl." Ha Ha!
