Graduating Class of 2008!!!

Wow... it's been a long trek... But it's almost here. I'm writing this because last week sometime I received my Graduation Check in the mail. No it's not money. It's the response from CSU Records after "check"ing to make sure that I am eligible to graduate in Spring 2008. Well I AM (providing nothing happens to complicate that)!!!! I will be graduating with my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies concentrating in English. It's been four years last November that I applied to Cal State hoping and praying I would get accepted and be able to pay for it. With God's grace, a few loans, and the help from a trust fund from my late Aunt Girlie I have not had any problems. I picked out a new schedule for me, and thank God all the classes were open that I needed. All FOUR OF THEM! Can you believe it? When I started I was looking at 49-50 future classes, and now, I have merely 4 classes only equaling 13 units left!! To think... I can't wait til I see my name on that Diploma. I will have done did it (as someone who's name escapes me used to say)!!!


Oh! By the way that picture of me is from my HIGH SCHOOL Graduation in 2004.. I know I know I haven't changed much. Must be that eternal youthful genes I get from my Mom's side! :-P

Yeah Erica!!!! You go girl!!! Glad you done did it and wish you the best on your future endeavors!! I am applying for Cal State and two years from now hope to have achieved my diploma!

Lol thank you Jana! Congrats to YOU too!!! We both graduate the SAME DAY!!!! YAY!!! May the Lord bless you in your applying for Cal State! Hopefully all goes well with that! We're almost done... well ignoring the fact that both of us get to go right back to school! lol

One of the reasons I HAD to write a new post was because if you would scroll down JUST a bit, there are 45+ comments on the last post!!! Hallelujah From the Valley

A few months ago, a young lady from my school introduced the song below during chapel to the student body. If anyone has a right to sing these words, she does. As this young lady recently lost her mother in a long struggle with cancer. Loss is something none of us take well. No matter what it may be. Some losses seem small to others, but to the person who has lost, it is larger than life. Whether it be the loss of a parent, a sibling, any family member, a friend, a pet, a pastor, a job, a house the list goes on. We try to rationalize the situation... But, sadly, our finite minds cannot comprehend the reason the Lord decided to allow this pain into our lives. Many blame God for so many different reasons, but God knows how much you can bear, and how far He will allow. Yet ANOTHER Eventful Weekend

Ok, so Friday was not so eventful. Other than everyone in the house was up around eightish...ish...ish. Lol. And then started cleaning.... and cleaned.. and packed and cleaned and packed. That was pretty much all we did all the way up until 10 something that night! (well... with a few breaks here and there). Then Saturday, we got up to the smell of my mom cooking and baking. I told Nicole it smelled like Thanksgiving in my house! We ended up having some close family friends over, the Jones family, the Sablan family, the Davis family and the Lee Jr family (lol Tiffany Randy and babies). The food was wonderful and the fellowship marvelous! Lol when Tiff got there I stole her newest addition, Ryan, he is SUCH a doll! And then took Baby Randy for awhile. It was so funny watching him crawl all over the place, and then go up to the dogs and get scared and try to get away as fast as he could! It was fun!
